My childhood friend, Hannah, was recently diagnosed with Leukemia.
This got me thinking about how I could do more to help others, and I realized that I haven't donated blood since 2007. Simply donating blood myself didn't seem a sufficient gesture to convey the depth of my feelings for Hannah as she travels this bumpy road.
I wanted to come up with a way to remind people to both appreciate what they have and to take action to help those in need. With that in mind, I have decided to shave my head -- as a sign of solidarity with Hannah, who lost her hair because of the chemo treatments, and as a sign to remind people to help.
As a tribute to Hannah, my goal is to inspire at least 50 people to take some kind of action to help others -- donating blood, donating money, volunteering, anything.
Please help me reach this goal! Once you have reached out, write a comment in this gallery to share what you did. You could even shave your head to inspire more people! Choose a helping action of your own or
