As a mother of 4-year old twins and a baby, teacher of students with disabilities, and animal lover, I have endless patience and a strong sense of empathy. I bring that empathy behind the lens, helping me see your family and pets with the same loving eyes that you do.
From the time I took my first photography class in high school, I've been in love with photography. My parents helped me put together a darkroom when I was 16, which I set up in the bathroom of every place I lived for over 15 years! I even had it set up in my dorm bathroom at the University of Texas, where I graduated with a BA in Studio Art with a focus in photography.
Using my background in art, I strive to create well composed pictures that tell a story or evoke emotion. I shoot on location, not only so everyone will feel relaxed, but also because background details can help tell a story -- a portrait taken sitting in your grandfather's old chair will hold special meaning. I believe that a session should be a joyful collaboration between artist and subject. If you like my portfolio, then you'll probably like what we can create together.
